Voting and Prioritizing

After a brainstorm it is often helpful to rate or prioritize items or ideas. The facilitator selects the appropriate prioritization scheme. Each person completes and submits their ballot, while the facilitator tabulates the data behind the scenes. There are many possible voting schemes available to all facilitators, from simple selection via checkbox, to agree/disagree scales, to multiple criteria such as urgency vs. impact or comparative analysis such as cost vs. return. The facilitator selects the right voting approach to move the group towards the meeting objective. (Section 10)
