Importing a Conference - Restoring a Conference from Archives

Exported conference data is imported back into FacilitatePro using Conference Manager.

To import data:

1. Select Conference Import from the Administration menu.

2. At the Open screen, browse to find the folder containing the data files to import. Click on any one of the set of text files containing the conference data.

3. Click the Open button.

4. At the Options for Importing a Conference screen, type the new conference name.

5. Select the radio button according to the detail that you wish to import - topics, subtopics, categories, items, and / or ballots.

6. If you'd like to assign the conference to a different User Group, click the appropriate check box and type in the desired group number.

7. If importing Voting Profiles select an option with respect to how to handle profile names to ensure that the imported profiles have unique names.

8. If importing a Custom Screen Template check the option and provide the template with a name that will be unique within the data file you are importing it into.

9. Click the Import button.

The new conference will be added to the list of conferences.
