Web Options Menu

The Web Options menu items start and stop the FacilitatePro Web server, monitor performance and adjust system-wide appearance and performance settings. The Web Settings controls are important to the installation of the software.

Web Options menu items and functions
Start Web server
Activates the FacilitatePro Web server. The Web Statistics window indicates the current FacilitatePro status, which is Running once you have started the Web server. The Web server will also stop and restart whenever Web Settings are changed.
Shut Down Web server
Stops the FacilitatePro Web server. The Web Statistics window indicates that FacilitatePro is Not Running once you have shut down the Web server. The Web server will also stop and restart whenever Web Settings are changed.
Web Settings - TCP/IP and Port
Place to adjust the IP address and TCP Port assigned to FacilitatePro. Normally the application will detect and pick up the IP address automatically and assign the default Port 80. Use to allow SSL encryption for the Web server on a defined port. Define the default HTML root directory and home page. Make changes here to override the default settings. Details of the Web Settings options are explained later in this section.
Web Settings - Advanced
Use to adjust security, performance and screen appearance system-wide settings. Many of these settings are available from the Web interface in the Default Language Profile. Details of the Web Settings options are explained later in this section.
Web Statistics
Displays the FacilitatePro statistics window. Provides monitoring information including:
Start Date - Date when the FacilitatePro server was last started
Total Requests Handled - Number of requests made to FacilitatePro since it was last started
Average Response Time (in ticks) - time for handling server requests in 1/60th of a second
Last/Avg Response in Milliseconds - response time for handling server requests
Max # of concurrent requests since start - Maximum number of users who submitted a request to the server at the exact same moment
Web Processes Opened - Number of processes FacilitatePro has opened to handle concurrent requests; each concurrent request requires one process.
Current Status - Running or Not Running.
SSL Certificate Generation
Used to generate SSL encryption key for use with FacilitatePro and secure encrypted transmissions. Visit the Facilitate.com User Forum web site or contact technical support for detailed instructions for SSL implementations.
