Section 30. Language Profiles

This section describes the Language Profiles function that offers a means to manage the language and look of much of the FacilitatePro interface. Used in conjunction with Custom Screen Templates (see Section 27), Language Profiles allow for the full translation of FacilitatePro participants screens into multiple languages. Facilitator screen headers are separately managed through screen templates in the FacilitatePro server CodeLibrary. The Default Language Profile includes system-wide controls and adjustments that are made from the Web interface and may only be changed by an administrator.

FacilitatePro enables administrators and facilitators to establish language profiles that control screen layouts, text labels and color schemes. These language profiles are assigned to topics or user IDs to provide custom interfaces for different meetings and participants. The language profile controls include:

· System-wide main screens
· Global headers and footers
· Naming conventions
· Background and text colors and fonts

Changes to a language profile affect all conferences, topics and users assigned that profile; adjust them with care. The screen shots provided in this section show the default settings for FacilitatePro and can be used as a reference in case changes are made in error.
