FacilitatePro

System Generated User IDs

FacilitatePro provides several options for system generated user IDs providing access to a specific conference or topic. These shared IDs are based on a template (DS_Conference and DS_Topic respectively) stored in User Profiles and managed by a FacilitatePro administrator. Facilitators have the option to generate a shared participant ID as they create a new conference and in the Conference Editor and Topic Editor functions. Server-side settings control the format of the new IDs, typically "User-xxxx" where xxxx is a random set of letters and numbers. See Section 6 for instructions on managing participant access with system generated user IDs:
· Generate a shared conference participant ID as you create a new conference
· Edit the conference to find the conference participant ID
· Send an email invitation to conference participants
· Edit a topic to generate a shared topic participant ID
· Send an email invitation for a single topic
· Generate a different conference or participant ID
NOTE: When requiring complex passwords, set up server-side settings in a way that ensures all system generated passwords have a prefix that meets the password rules so that system generated IDs can pass the complex password test.
