Backup Options

FacilitatePro provides for manual and automatic backups of the data files FacCom.4DD and FacCom.4DR. Additional log files capture transactions between backups allowing an administrator to restore the database to a particular date and time. Data file back-ups are scheduled within the Backup Options on the FacilitatePro server. Backup data files typically should be stored on another networked computer for recovery in an emergency.

Implementation of this capability is further explained in separate document intended for system administrators. Please see the User Forum web-site or contact technical support for a copy.

NOTE: This feature is intended as a security feature and emergency back-up measure for circumstances when computers fail and data files are lost.

Select Backup Settings from Backup Options menu

Select files and folders to back up. Select backup file destination folder - this should be on a drive that is always available at backup times and is typically a different drive and computer than is running the FacilitatePro application.
