Building a Survey - Multiple Custom Voting Profiles
As you step up to be a Pro facilitator you have a much broader range of survey options available to you. Two new functions that you will need to learn are Custom Voting Profiles and the Survey Editor Topic mode. The Survey Editor Topic mode allows you to assign a custom voting profile to each question in your survey, rather than just a single voting profile to the whole topic. With these two tools in hand you can create almost any type of answer format and apply different answer formats across various groups of questions.TIP!Setting up surveys can be complicated but if you follow the steps methodically you will reap the rewards of many hours saved in collecting the data, tabulating results and producing reports. Here are some rules to work by that will help you avoid common pitfalls when creating surveys:1. Plan your survey ahead of time - have it completely worked out on paper before you start online.2. Map your survey to the FacilitatePro terminology - know your conference, topic, categories...3. A survey is a Topic not a Conference. It will need a Conference to go into.4. Create a new set of Voting Profiles for each survey. Use a clear naming convention.5. Follow the steps below in order - it will save you time.6. Test everything all the way through to results. Take the survey yourself and ask someone else to too.7. Start with the end in mind. Know what data or reports you need and plan your survey accordingly.
